                                          GRADUATION CEREMONIES (POLICY)

     A.  Dates

         1)  The date for graduation ceremonies will be on or about June 25, of each year.  This date also
             commemorates the Victory of the Little Big Horn, a significant event in the history of the Lakota
             people.  It is, thus, fitting that this date commemorate the victories of contemporary Lakota youth,
             who have begun their life-paths with the completion of an educational goal.

     B.  Graduation Awards

         2)  Graduation Awards will be given to students for special attainments as students at Oglala Lakota
             College.
